Flexible Patch Antenna Array Operating at Microwaves Based on Thin Composite Material

This paper presents an innovative route to fabricate conformal patch antenna arrays based on a flexible mesh-style conductive fabric / E-glass fiber composite laminate with improved performance at microwaves. On the one hand, ohmic loss in array is restricted by integrating highly into and using it as feeding lines radiating elements after its precise machining laser technology. other dielectric inserting foam layer (with characteristics close those of air) between substrate ground plane which made fabric. The bending effect radiation pattern minimized applying phase offset through shifters most curved patches. high gain efficiency 5.8 GHz (11.9 dBi 75% flat configuration, 8.7 50 mm-radius respectively), seamless integration process, mechanical properties such pave way for their promising efficient various devices, objects, vehicles materials.
